Happy About Little Things

Yesterday, the maternity jeans I ordered online long ago finally arrived and, more significantly, I felt my baby move for the first time. This has been (and continues to be) a difficult pregnancy. While I know I should be thankful I was able to get pregnant easily and the baby and I are both healthy, I have to admit being in physical pain every single day for months on end has taken a psychological toll on me. Even though the jeans are just a little thing, that and quickening, which is a bigger deal, were just the little mood boost I needed to keep on going. I'm working hard on curbing my complaining and keeping my focus on the end goal.

  1. Quickening was always an odd word to me but I can only imagine how amazing it feels.

  2. You can do this! I felt guilty once we FINALLY got pregnant because I realized I absolutely HATE being pregnant! It not a cake walk for all of us :) We know you're grateful, but for those of us who have been there? We feel your pain, sista! Keep it up...this bambino will totally be worth it, I promise.

  3. Oh! I love the feeling of the baby moving! Sometimes I miss the squirming, now that I'm not pregnant, but honestly, that's about ALL I miss about being pregnant! It just is a difficult thing.

  4. I totally understand! I had a routine and healthy pregnancy, but I was sick and extremely swollen the whole time. It isn't easy, and it doesn't mean you're ungrateful for your healthy baby!

I know word verification is a pain, but I'm getting a lot of spam comments, more than I can keep up with. I hope you'll leave a comment anyway. I really appreciate you reading and love hearing back from you.
