Tree Watering Made Easy

I don't know what's with our Christmas tree this year, but it's been drinking water like crazy. (Maybe because it's a pine tree and usually we get a fir?) Anyway, we've been watering it three times a day. That process is always a hassle, but having to go through it so often has made me come up with a way to make it a little easier. Instead of using a pitcher or measuring cup, like we had been doing, we've started using a squirt top water bottle to water the tree.

This has made it so much easier. We can hold the bottle upside down without any leaks. We're able to get the spout closer to the tree so we have fewer spills. Our aim doesn't have to be as perfect. Using a water bottle to water our Christmas tree definitely works for me.

  1. great tip! I have a narrow neck carafe that I use for the tree. Hubs would prolly prefer your method.
